Mr. Anthony C. Hopkins was born August 15, 1968 in Flint, Michigan. He was the son of Sam Hopkins, Sr. (Bunny) and the late Erma Jean Hopkins. He attended Watson Chapel High School. He confessed a hope in Christ at an early age at the Church of God in Christ. He departed this life Sunday, December 4, 2011. He leaves to cherish his memories five sisters—Monica Hopkins of Little Rock, Arkansas, Lashonda Hopkins, Wanda Huggins, Sherry Haltiwanger, and Lora Whaley all of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; five brothers—Eric Pugh, Tyrone Hopkins, Sam Hopkins, Jr. all of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Calvin Whaley of Louisville, Texas, and Sam Whaley of Dallas, Texas; five aunts—Debbie Ann Hopkins, Doris Hopkins, Dianna Langel, Virglee Gray of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Earnestine Nelson of San Jose, California; five uncles—Willie Anthony (Gloria) of Chicago, Illinois, Andrew Mark, Lawrence Mark, Issac Brown all of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Wilbert Davenport of California, and the last George Brown, Jr.; a grandmother—Lucille Brown of Pine bluff, Arkansas; and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends.
His services will be Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at William Dove Senior Memorial Chapel at 11:00a by Reverend Aaron Johnson. Burial will be in Forrest Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-6:30p at Brown Funeral Home of Pine Bluff.
The family will be at 2004 Howard Drive, Pine Bluff.
